- Close your eyes and go into your mind and think of a very happy memory, a time in your life that you had an experience that was so incredible, so loving that still today, just by remembering it makes you smile. Every happy memory has love attached to it. Think of something you love and become aware of how you feel within yourself. Each day, try to do an action that brings you into that same space in your mind about love, joy and happiness. It does not have to be the same memory, but you can create a situation that brings you into that same space of love. Try this every day for one week.
- Gratitude – Stand back and look at the bigger picture. Don’t get caught up in the minutia of little, tiny things. You are a unique soul, just like the stars in the sky or the snowflakes that fall. Everyone is important and you are here because you are meant to be here. The Universe conspires to make sure you are the best you can possibly be, but the human part, the ego, has to get out of the way. Have gratitude for the big things and the little things as well. When we are in a state of gratitude, it becomes a habit. Become very appreciative of what you have in your life. Appreciate the possibilities, the love that someone is who walks with you on your path, appreciate helping someone else and sharing our life’s experiences. When we start being happy with ourselves, loving ourselves and looking at ourselves as souls having a human experience, our perception of ourselves and the world we live in will change.
- Say out loud, perhaps in the shower or the car, something you love about yourself and something you want to do about yourself. Be specific, such as I want to learn how to golf, paint, or cook. Scream out I love you and I want to learn how to paint! (Or whatever is it you want to do or learn!) Come up with a mantra, a saying, about how you love yourself and how you want to change your life. Make it simple and make sure love is part of the mantra. When we know ourselves the best we can, it helps us meet every situation with grace. Intuition means into the soul and the more in tune with who we are, helps us make the right choices, be around the best people for you, and have the right future. In order to feel happy and sustain this, be who you are, do something you love to do, do something that makes you laugh. Laugh at yourself each day by acting goofy and like a little child again. Use your heart more than your head and do things that make your heart sing, garden, swing, create goofy videos, play with your animals. No one else can love you like you can. Love yourself more than anyone could. Love has no endings, just beginnings!
