We are up against millions of viruses and pathogens (bacteria, fungi) everyday. We are exposed to pathogens and viruses through relationships with other people, eating at restaurants, coffee shops and using public bathrooms. We are exposed to viruses in the flu family, the Epstein- Barr virus, and the shingles virus, among others, that cause autoimmune disease and chronic illness. There are tools we can use to knock down these viruses in our bodies.
Removing certain foods from our diets can help starve the viruses that live in our bodies and also helps to strengthen our immune system which fights to eliminate these pathogens from our body. The number one food that viruses like to feed on is eggs. Other foods that viruses like to eat are dairy products like milk, cheese, kefir, butter and yogurt and other dairy products. Viruses also like to eat gluten and corn. You can take these foods out of your daily meals one at a time to protect and strengthen your immune system, or if you are suffering from chronic illness like diabetes or heart disease eliminating these particular foods will kill off viruses even quicker to relieve some of your symptoms.
Think about reducing fat intake in your daily meals. Just by eliminating eggs from your diet, reduces your fat intake right there. Also, foods like peanut butter, other nut butters, oil of any kind, pork, chicken and soy contain tremendous amounts of fat. If our blood is full of fat, oxygen gets pushed out and we need oxygen in our blood to reduce our virus load. You do not have to eliminate all fats from your diet but minimize the consumption of daily fat. Eat the healthiest fats such as coconut, avocado and nuts and seeds but reduce consumption on these too to protect your health.
